Events-Feature

In this help article we explain how our events feature works and how to set up events.

How does the event feature help me?

Events are displayed directly in the chart.
This allows you to quickly see correlations between an event and a change in the metrics.

For example, if you change the images on the Amazon listing, this is automatically captured as an event. This is shown in the chart as a vertical line. You can then easily see if and how the change in images has affected your metrics such as conversion rate or sales.

What are "Events"?

By events, we mean events and changes that occur on a listing, for example.
It can be a change from price, title, image, loss of buy box. (Many of these events are automatically recorded by Sellerfox - more about that here: Automatically tracked events).
But it could also be, for example, an external marketing action that you want to manually store as an event in Sellerfox.

Show events in the diagram

If there is an event for the selected product in the period under consideration, it will be displayed as a vertical line in the diagram.
If the event extends over a period of time, it will be highlighted in gray.

Show/hide events in the diagram

You can change the display of the events.
To do so, simply click on "**Advanced chart settings**".

View Event Details

The details of an event can be viewed simply by clicking on the event in the chart.
A window will open showing all the events of that time period. You can view all the details using the dropdown.

View events via the "Events" page

You can also view all events via the Events menu (left menu).

Here you can filter by date, event type and products.
You can see all details about the event via the event dropdown.

Create events manually

You can also create events manually.
This can be useful for external marketing events, for example, or for other measures that you want to enter.

You can create events in 2 ways: via the Events menu or via the diagram.

Create events via diagram

Click on the data point in the diagram for the desired date.
The detail window for events opens
Click "+ New event
Enter a Name, Description (optional), Destination (optional) and Learning (optional) for the event.
Select the products that will be affected by the event.
Select the date or time period for the event

How to set up manual events (events page)

Go to "Events" on the left menu
Click "+ New event"
Enter a name, description (optional), goal (optional) and learning (optional) for the event
Select the products that are affected by the event
Select the date or time frame for the event
